Truckstop.com economist Noël Perry has launched a website that offers insight and data for transport decision makers, he said Thursday.
The website, Transport Futures, includes a blog called The Transport Navigator and will eventually feature a book-length project where Perry tracks what he calls "the radical changes that will revolutionize transportation and supply chain design over the next twenty years."
Perry will continue his affiliation with Truckstop.com, the New Plymouth, Idaho-based load board service operator where he serves as chief economist.
He also heads Transport Futures, which he describes as a Cornwall, Pa.-based North American heavy-freight consulting firm, with a focus on the truckload, rail, intermodal, and domestic water markets.
The Transport Navigator is an enhanced version of Perry's long-running newsletter, "State of Freight," published by Bloomington, Ind.-based freight transportation forecasting and consulting firm FTR, although Perry is no longer associated with FTR, he said.
