Texas-based logistics software provider Bourque Logistics on Wednesday said it plans to release a software tool designed to provide clients with a visual evaluation of performance measures, allowing managers to identify trends within their operations and generate graphical reports on inefficiencies.
Scheduled for release this fall, theSHIPPER BI product will be "a logistics business intelligence tool" that uses dashboard interfaces to aggregate data on fleet, shipment, freight cost, and equipment maintenance, according to Bourque, which is based in The Woodlands, Texas, in the Houston region.
Bourque says the cloud-based tool will be available to its clients who use Bourque's rail, truck, and intermodal logistics modules. The company will also supplement the standard tool with consulting services, allowing users to create customized dashboards that report on their specific needs.
As a logistics software developer, Bourque provides shippers with IT systems that integrate with enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms to monitor loading/offloading, shipping, shipment tracking, freight payment, fleet accounting, and supply chain management, the company says.
In April, Bourque expanded its facilities in the southeast and northeast U.S. regions by opening an office in Jacksonville, Fla.
