Verizon Seeking Competitive Intelligence Marketing Manager

Telecommunications company Verizon has announced an opening for the role of competitive intelligence marketing manager based in Ausburn, Virginia.

The selected applicant will be responsible for gathering information about Verizon’s competitors and analyzing the collected data, which includes competitor strategy changes.

The manager will work closely with the company’s product marketing and communications to collect timely competitive information, allowing designated officials to respond to customer inquiries, according to an announcement posted on LinkedIn.

The competitive intelligence marketing manager is also tasked with designing research methods and managing research projects to provide leaders with the necessary information for strategy development and implementation.

Additionally, the hiree will also help Verizon’s management team understand the company’s challenges and address identified issues.

The minimum requirements for the role include a bachelor’s degree and at least six years of experience in the fields of market research and competitive insights.

The company noted in its LinkedIn job ad that applicants must have experience in delivering custom presentations, making recommendations and advising senior leaders regarding critical business decisions.

Verizon’s personnel are based in 29 offices, 13 of which are located in countries within the Asia Pacific region, including Singapore, India and New Zealand.

In a report from Slash Gear, the telecommunications company recently saw its 4G network working better than its 5G service, which is now operating nationwide.

According to new tests conducted by PCMag’s Sascha Segan, Verizon’s new 4G network reported 815 Mbps speeds on a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, while the company’s dynamic spectrum sharing 5G only recorded 358 Mbps.
